Obama Supports Gay Marriage

Lavender LoungeThe news media will be flooded for the next few weeks about President Obama’s announcement on ABC television today that he supports gay marriage. Mostly, it will be the opposition making fire-and-brimstone predictions that the world will stop spinning on it’s axis, with floods, famine and raining toads coming next.

Yes, it took a lot of courage for the very first sitting president to come out in support of same sex marriage, but it was a long time coming. However, making that simple statement of position doesn’t actually change any policy. He still supports the right of individual states (like North Carolina) to decide whether to legalize it there. There is no action being taken to end DOMA, other than refraining from going out of their way defending it. And there is no condemnation of mixing religion and politics to oppose it.

My fear now is that it could hurt him in the election. Now is the time to rally the liberal troops and get out there to battle the conservatives with reason and facts, and have the leader of the free world on our side – at least for the next few months… This pronouncement could backfire if it’s too soon.

Prop 8 Declared Unconstitutional

Court Clerks Pass Out Copies of Prop 8 Ruling.

I went to the courthouse to hear the decision on Prop 8 case this morning. I’ve missed several of these historic moments, and since the courthouse is right around the corner, I decided to trek over to watch history being made.

In a 2-1 ruling, the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco said Proposition 8′s limitations on access to marriage took rights away from a vulnerable minority without benefiting parents, children or the marital institution.

“Proposition 8 serves no purpose, and has no effect, other than to lessen the status and human dignity of gays and lesbians in California, and to officially reclassify their relationships and families as inferior to those of opposite-sex couples,” said Judge Stephen Reinhardt in the majority opinion.

“The Constitution simply does not allow for laws of this sort.”

The crowd assembled was 100% in favor of Marriage Equality. Opponents are going deeper and deeper underground because they know tide of opinion is turning against them, but they persist fervently. The battle over merely making the tapes of the trial public shows they don’t want their faces shown. That’s what makes it so insidious.

I got photographed by the NY Times and interviewed by KQED radio and a Catholic Publication. I made sure to get my digs in to the Catholic Corporation!

Easiest Way To Re-Elect The President

If Wolf Blitzer Asked Mitt Romney

If a legit journalist like CNN’s Wolf Blitzer ever asked a Republican candidate a real question once in a while, we wouldn’t get the kind of clown car election we are witnessing right now.

For instance, if someone challenged Romney about this corporate cult he belongs to (called the Mormon “Church”, Inc.), he’d lose all the religious AND non-religious voters all at once. All he has to do at a debate is ask, “Governor Romney, are you wearing your magic underwear right now?”

Boom. End of debate.

Gadhafi’s Son Owned Gay Porn

Libyan rebels took control of Tripoli over the weekend and looters immediately raided the Gadhafi family's luxurious compound of mansions, removing expensive cars, clothing, and bottles of alcohol. One rebel interviewed by AP says they "are not condoning looting of private property, and only allow the wrecking of symbols of the Gadhafi family's abuse of power."

The AP also reports that in the office area of one villa, journalists saw large piles of catalogs for yachts and cars, and the gay porn DVD "Boyz Tracks" slipped out of the stack of documents.

Along with the gay porn DVD, business cards were scattered on the floor for a firm called "Natural Selection" that listed al-Saadi as partner and executive producer with an address on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The looters left behind a black cloth, apparently the back of a "director's chair," that read, in green: "Executive Producer al-Saadi Gadhafi."

Stephen Kay's upcoming thriller, Isolation, was produced by the L.A.-based Natural Selection, the outfit behind the Adrien Brody-starring The Experiment . Natural Selection is financed by Al-Saadi Qadhafi, son of Libyan President Moammar Gadhafi. A former football player, kicked out of the sport for steroid use, Al-Saadi dropped $100 million into Natural Selection, which was founded by Matty Beckerman. Another project on Natural Selection's plate: The Mickey Rourke-starring Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer.

Wow! This is even better than discovering Imelda Marcos' shoe collection!

Nosy Neighbor Shuts Down Important Music Nightclub

Slim's is a long-running and important music venue in San Francisco's South of Market district. It was opened by musician and bar owner Boz Skaggs in the 1980's and has hosted every important musical act on their way up. Apparently one complaint from a nosy neighbor was enough to shut down the club temporarily. The same thing has happened for years with gay bars like the Hole In The Wall, the My Place and the Eagle. Below is the link to the story and my letter to the cunt who started it.

Slim's Shut Down Because of Neighbor Complaint - Amoeba Blog

Jeanmarie Guenot

San Francisco, CA 94103

Dear Jeanmarie,

I understand that you are responsible for the temporary closing of Slim's. I am writing to encourage you to stop your selfish campaign against nightlife in SOMA.

I have lived in San Francisco for 30 years, and 10 of those years have been right here in SOMA. The reason why I chose to buy a home in this neighborhood is specifically because of the active nightlife. I paid $800,000 for a house that is essentially similar to a single-wide mobile home. I pay almost $10,000 in property taxes every year to live in this neighborhood. That may sound crazy, but in real estate, it's all about location, location, location.

Why do I make so many sacrifices to live in this expensive and challenging neighborhood? Because there are so few places in this world that have the kind of energy and creative spirit you find here. Except for very few unique places in the world like SOMA, the entire rest of the world is designated as "kid friendly" or "quiet and restful". I am an adult and I like to do adult things. I do not want to live in a "kid friendly" neighborhood, nor do I want to live in a bland retirement village.

I live a few steps from the End Up on one side, 1015 Folsom on the other, and an Elementary school in between. I work at home all day, and I can attest that the noise from the school far exceeds any nightclub in this city. I would much prefer a nightclub next to me than a school.

Slims is a professionally managed, long-running, successful and vitally important music venue in an era when the number of places to hear live music has dwindled significantly. What possible benefit to yourself or the community could you derive from actively pursuing the demise of nightclub that has become such an institution?

Were you so naive that you didn't know SOMA was an entertainment center before you moved here? What exactly did you think this neighborhood was when you moved here? If noise from nightclubs bothers you, I would suggest that your efforts are better directed at moving yourself to a quieter place far from San Francisco. If you persist in antagonizing the entertainment business in SOMA, you better be ready for battle. We know where you live.

Sincerely,

Mark Kliem

Forced Sex Changes in Iran?

I watched an interesting documentary on PBS last night about sex changes in Iran. It's against Islamic law to be gay or to cross-dress. However, since there is no mention in the Koran about sex change operations, Islamic leaders endorse it. Bizarre.

The film makers followed a couple of effeminate men, some of whom clearly choose to be a woman, but others feel they are forced to have sex change operations because of harassment and social pressure. They've heard rumors that men can marry men in the West, but it's only a rumor as far as they know.

On one hand, Iran has the only religious leaders that approve of sex change operations, which is good only for true transsexuals, but for the vast majority of gay or transvestite men, it's their only option. A new twist on religious wackos.

Pro-Wrestler Offers Help To Bullied Gay Kids

MMA Fighter and Pro Wrestler Daniel PuderMMA Fighter and Pro Wrestler Daniel Puder

MMA Fighter and Pro Wrestler Daniel PuderMMA Fighter and Pro Wrestler Daniel Puder

Former pro wrestler and former MMA fighter Daniel Puder is offering help to bullied gay kids. "There is an issue with our society when gay young kids are getting bullied to the point they are killing themselves."

But after scarfing down a burger at Stout in L.A. last night -- protein-style, obviously -- Puder hatched a new plan ... telling us, "Anybody that's getting bullied in the whole U.S. can shoot me an email at dp@knockoutsgym.com."

He adds,"You email me, I'll go fly to your school ... and we'll go talk to the bullies for you."

Puder wanted to clear one slight misconception: "I don't want to beat up the bullies. What I want to do is I want to basically encourage the bullies and I want to re-train them to think that they don't need to bully people."

And he quite the woof, too!

Bill Clinton Explains It All

{rawcontent rc=185}

{rawcontent rc=186}

I don't do much with politics on this blog, and I really should. Part of the reason I don't write about politics is cause it's gotten so complicated, I don't even know what to say. It was refreshing to hear Bill Clinton on the Daily Show last night talking about the economy from his viewpoint. Obama's been so busy doing the work, that he hasn't taken the time to explain and sell his ideas, while the wackos with nothing else to do have been busy being obstructionists and critical of every little nuance.

Watch these two videos to get some inspiration. Then, for no particular reason, go ahead and click the JOIN button to help stimulate my economy.

Ex-Porn Star Claims Rekers Hired Him Too

gay porn star Chaz Carltongay porn star Chaz Carlton

Chaz Carlton, prolific gay porn star from the 90's, has now come forward claiming Dr. George Rekers also hired him as an escort. As reported on Joe My God, the "Chazonator" says:

FROM CHAZONATOR BLOG

In a city, in the USA, when I was in my 20’s, I committed the illegal act of prostitution with a man named George Rekers. To divulge more information regarding the time and place, at this time, would not benefit me, legally. I was sitting in my apartment, watching TV when my pager went off. It was a caller, responding to an ad I had placed in the escort/masseur section of a local gay magazine. The caller was George Rekers, and he told me his real name, a requirement I had for all of my clients who wanted “outcall” service, meaning that I would travel to their hotel for a “session”. If anything happened to me, the clients name and info would be sitting on my dresser for my roommate to find. Rekers was very specific about the kind of service he expected for the $150 he agreed to pay me. He insisted on only safe activity, and repeatedly asked me if I was “clean”, meaning disease free. I assured him that I was.

Rekers wanted a full body massage, and he wanted light, sexual contact. He referred to himself as being “very vanilla”, which I later learned means, no oral or anal. As an escort, I remembered clients like this the most because they are easy money. I fulfilled his request, and by the time I was finished, there wasn’t a single part of his body that my hands had not touched. He wanted a light tickling of his skin, just barely touching his skin, as I glided my fingers up and down his spine, all the way into his crack. He shivered with pleasure with every stroke. I wasn’t in the habit of asking my clients any personal questions. I did, however, answer several questions George had for me. He was very curious to know more about my porno career, which, he had not previously been aware of. When I explained it to him, he seemed repulsed when I got into the details of the oral and anal sex scenes. I sensed that George was struggling with his sexuality, but I had no idea that he was a monster, until now.

Okay, so he got my attention, but my first reaction is to be suspicious of anyone that calls themselves, "Chazonator". ("Chaz" is bad enough...) But then I read the rest of his blog (which only goes back as three months) you find out that he claims to be a friend of Ted Haggard and claims that the OTHER famous hooker, Mike Jones, made up the story of his tryst with Haggard. Something smells fishy.

Check out Chaz Carlton's movies below at Gay Video Cafe, some of the titles are just too good! History DOES repeat itself!

Prop 8 Instigator On the Stand As Hostile Witness

Today was more historic testimony in the Prop 8 Trial. Dr. Bill Tam was at first supposed to be a witness for the defense, but when they found out he was a nutcase, they tried to exclude him from testifying. The Plaintiffs were able to bring him in as a "hostile witness" and thank god, he a glowing example of hatred, fear, and plain old crazy. Here are some selected quotes.

B: Your honor, this was already admitted in the testimony of Ms. Zia. This website says that homosexuality leads to pedophilia. Do you believe that?

T: Yes, I do.

B: Reads: Homosexuals 12 times more likely to molest children. Appropriate for your organization to tell people that?

T: Which organization?

B: The organization of which you are secretary that puts out this website!

T: Yes. From what we see here, those are not the statements of the organization. Those are just links to other websites. My position is that if there is something like this that people want to read about, organization has the right to link it.

B: You are not just linking. Your website says that homosexuals are 12 times more likely to molest children.

T: It’s in that website. It’s not from the organization.

B: Mr. Tam, this is print out from your website!

T: From the organization. But I’m only secretary. There are presidents and vice presidents.

B: Do you believe that homosexuals are more likely to molest children?

T: Yes, I do.

B: Based on what?

T: From academic papers.

B: Which academic papers?

T: Some could be news and some could be journalists.

B: I’m not asking you what it could be. Was it a book? An article? Who wrote it?

T: I don’t remember. I don’t know.

[Boies is really, really good. You could hear a pin drop up here and based on the judge’s facial expressions, in the courtroom. Boies is establishing the nexus with ProtectMarriage.com that they use this stuff as the reason for Prop. 8, which fits in with the stigma and all the great stuff we learned last week. By the way, I’m really nauseated. Truly.]

David Boies (B): You say here that if we lose Prop. 8 “they” will lose no time to push the gay agenda?

William Tam (T): Yes. They will.

B: You say here that the City of SF is under the rule of homosexuals. Do you believe that?

T: Yes.

B: Who?

T: Tom Ammiano was supervisor.

B: Was the mayor homosexual?

T: I don’t think so.

B: I don’t think so either.

B: You said that you thought Prop. 8 would lead to legalizing prostitution. Why?

T: Measure K in SF. I saw some homosexuals hanging around there.

B: You know that Measure K has nothing to do with Prop. 8.

T: Yes.

B: You told people that next will be legalizing sex with children. That’s the homosexual agenda. Do you believe this?

T: Yes.

B: Here’s a flyer that says Prop. 8 protects against social, moral decay. What is the social, moral decay?

T: Well, from Christian angle, homosexuality or sex between two persons of the same sex is a sin.

B: You were saying that Prop. 8 protects against homosexuality?

T: No. But I agree with this. If same sex marriage is legal, it would encourage children to explore same sex as their marriage partner. From Asian as well as Christian angle, we think this is social, moral decay.

B: Second document which is from 1man1woman dot net, more specific. Says that if same sex marriage passes it will lead to incest, pedophilia and polygamy. Do you agree with that?

T: Yes.

B: That’s what you told people to get them to vote for Prop. 8?

T: Yes.

B: Your paper says that after Netherlands legalized SS marriage, Netheralands legalized incest and polygamy. Do you believe that?

T: Same sex marriage may not have led to legalization of incest and polygamy, but it happened.

B: Who told you that?

T: I found it on the Internet. I did not write this that polygamy was legalized in 2005.

B: You put it out there to convince people to vote for Prop. 8. Did you ever look up the law?

T: Yes, there was different documents that shows that’s true.

B: So after Netherlands legalized same sex marriage, legalized polygamy and incest.

T: I’m not sure about incest. That may have been legal before same sex marriage passed.

B: If that’s the case, then it has nothing to do with same sex marriage.

T: Yes, but it shows that if countries are loose with sex it leads to this…

David Boies (B): Your document here says that civil unions were passed in Sweden in 1994 and now siblings can marry.

William Tam (T): Yes.

B: You said you support civil unions but here siblings can marry after it was passed in Sweden.

T: Yes.

T: I believe if marriage is beyond a man and a woman that any person can come to ask for marriage for incest and polygamy. If this is a civil right what would stop anyone from using marriage.

B: Can two siblings become DPs? Can man and girl of young age become DP?

T: No.

B: DPs exclude people of certain age and relationship.

T: Right.

B: You know that?

T: Yes.

B: So you see that DP does not lead to incest.

T: Yes. Oh I see your logic.

B: Yeah, logic, logic?

B: Is it your position that if we change the name that we’ll all of a sudden start having sex with 13-year-old girls?

T: Know. The name of marriage is so important. If marriage is not limited to above age of 18 our children will fantasize about marrying either man or woman. To us parents, you may say I’m a paranoid Chinese parent, I get very upset about. However, if DP we can exchange to our children that some sex people want to live committed life together, it’s very easy to understand. But if you mix up the sexes with marriage, it’s confusing.

B: Finished?

T: Yes.

B: Just because you allow g and l to marry don’t have to allow brothers and sisters to marry

T: Yes.

B: And don’t have to allow sex with children?

T: Yes.

B: You also realize that it’s important to gays and lesbians that they be allowed to marry?

T: Yes.

B: Just as children of you and your wife benefit from knowing you are married, the children of gays and lesbians will benefit from knowing their parents are married?

T: No.

B: You don’t think children want their parents to marry?

T: Laughs… I don’t know what they are trying to get at.

B: Gays and lesbians want the same rights that you have and they think it’s important even I you don’t think they should have it. Can you understand that?

T: I understand.

B: Whom did you talk to during the break?

T: My lawyer.

B: What did you say to your lawyer?

T: That I felt like a naughty boy being put in front of the classroom being mocked.

B: What did he say?

T: He laughed.

B: Did you know that in American history there were extremely unfortunate times when Asian Americans were limited as to whom they could marry?

T: Yes.

(Moss objects)

B: He gave his answer your honor. I have no further questions.

Prop 8 Trial – Possible Outcomes and Unlikely Partners

I've been following live bloggers at the Prop 8 trial, wishing I could be there myself for history in the making. The courthouse is almost right around the block from me, and I am tempted to hang out just to see the circus.

Without the TV coverage we were promised, live blogging is the best alternative. It's a little hard to follow and not completely accurate, but it's play-by-play, something you don't get from  a two minute segment on the local news. Periodically, these essays appear on the same site, and this one in particular is fascinating.

The section about the Scopes Monkey Trial is interesting in that it was best known through the later theatrical re-telling of the story in "Inherit The Wind". There's an opera in this story, you just wait.

A Small World Getting Smaller: Rats Flee A Sinking Ship

by Brian Leubitz

Yesterday, I described the anti-equality Prop 8 team as living in a “small world getting smaller.” Today, the team is visibly smaller by at least one, as Fox News contributor and perky conservative Margaret Hoover wrote today on the FoxNews.com website that she’s joining our team.

Some Republicans support gay rights, but prefer progress through legislative action or majority rule at the ballot box, rather than judicial action. But what if a democratic election imposes mandates that violate a citizen’s constitutional freedom? In the event that majority rule insufficiently protects individual liberty, our system of checks and balances puts forth that it is the role of the courts, to guarantee and protect the rights to individual Americans.

That’s why the Supreme Court, in 1967 Loving v. Virginia, legalized interracial marriage –six years after our current president was born to an interracial couple.  At that time 73% of the population opposed “miscegenation.”  How long would it have taken to change popular opinion, for the minority to democratically win their constitutional rights? As Martin Luther King, Jr. famously asserted, “Justice delayed is justice denied.”

For those of you who would label me a “RINO” (Republican In Name Only) for taking this stand, I direct you to Vice President Cheney, whose conservative credentials are impeccable, and who answered a question on the topic before the National Press Club audience on June 1, 2009 by saying simply, “…freedom means freedom for everyone.”

As this trial proceeds, it’s pretty clear that this can end in only one of two ways. First, the best case scenario would be that the Supreme Court overturns Prop 8. That’d be great. But, as the testimony unfolds, Rick’s point that this is the “Scopes Monkey trial” becomes increasingly salient.  In that case, Scopes, a teacher who was charged with the crime of teaching evolution, was in fact convicted of the crime. But the prosecution’s case against the teacher became such a transparent farce that the case ultimately is known more for being the beginning of the denoument for the anti-evolutionists at the time. By the way, isn’t it funny how things come full circle some times?

In other words, the best possible outcome of this trial for the Prop 8 supporters, unless something dramatic shifts in their direction, is a legal win, but a public relations nightmare. And Republicans, like Ms. Hoover, are beginning to see this. They are beginning to see that not only is same-sex marriage not the political gold mine it once was, but that the obsession over the issue puts the party and the conservative movement in a rather crazy light. The rats know the ship is sinking, and they are heading for the exits. Ms. Hoover isn’t the only one. Other prominent Republicans like Meghan McCain, Bush and Schwarzenegger top strategist Steve Schmidt, and many others are now standing up in support of marriage equality.

Ms. Hoover closes with the recommendation of joining the cause on the Republicans for Marriage Equality Facebook Page or by following the trial at the American Foundation for Equal Rights website. I’d recommend this very site as well, but who am I to quibble?

57% of Lavender Lounge Visitors Spend Money on Porn

Lavender Lounge

Here's a good example of how statistics can be manipulated. I ran this survey on Lavender Lounge for just over a month. I could have written several different ways to get different results, but I really didn't put a lot of thought into it. I could have run two different headlines with the same statistics.

MAJORITY OF WEB SURFERS DON'T BUY PORN

OR

57% OF LAVENDER LOUNGE VISITORS SPEND UP TO $1,000 A YEAR ON PORN

Both of those headlines could be considered true, based on the survey results. The people have spoken. Sure, "Only fools pay for porn" was the top vote-getter, but I kinda put it in as a red herring, knowing that the snarky wording of it would get more votes just because people love to be negative. It's their "inner punk child" leaking out rebelling against the establishment (even if the "establishment" in this case is the very anti-establishment porn industry).

But if you look at the results another way, by totaling up the responses of guys who spent any amount of money on porn in 2009, from as little as $1 for the year to $1,000 or more last year, 57% of the responders bought something. I think that's actually pretty good. Now, if only I could get them to spend that money on MY sites...

So when you see statistics shouting, "4 out of 5 dentists surveyed said..." or any poll taken on Fox News, it's easy to see how statistics can not only be written to get the results you want, but you can spin the results to be interpreted in numerous self-serving ways.

Gay Asian Twink Mayor and More Gays In The News

Evan Low Wow! I hadn't looked at the newspaper all day and three gay items are on the front page.

A gay Asian twink is now mayor or sleepy, suburban Campbell, California. The City Council elected one of the youngest gay and youngest Asian American mayors in the country at a meeting Tuesday night. The council promoted Evan Low, 26, from vice mayor to a one-year term as mayor of the 38,000-resident Silicon Valley city.

In the Brangelina naming convention, he would be a "Gasiantwinyor" or a "Gayorasianink"?

Also, Los Angeles Democratic Assemblyman John Peréz appears to be in line to become the next speaker of the state Assembly - and the body's first openly gay chief.

And finally, Meredith Baxter, who played mother Elyse Keaton on the 1980s TV series "Family Ties," has revealed that she is a lesbian. "I am a lesbian, and it was a later-in-life recognition of that fact," the 62-year-old actress said in an interview Wednesday on NBC's "Today" show.

Baxter said she has been in a relationship with her girlfriend, a general contractor, for four years. "Some people are saying, were you living a lie? And, you know, the truth is, not at all. This has only been in the past seven years," she said. Baxter has been married three times, including to David Birney, her co-star on the '70s TV series "Bridget Loves Bernie." She is the mother of five children. Baxter said she is "extraordinarily happy" and the support from her family and friends was immediate and unqualified.

Pontiac Silverdome Sold For Price of House

Pontiac SilverdomeFor most of the 30 years I've lived in San Francisco, there has been debate and elections concerning building stadiums for sport teams. Prior to that, when I lived in Detroit, there were similar debates about stadiums, too. I'm going to keep a link to this story for future reference because the debate in San Francisco is going to come up again soon.

Back in the 1970's the bonehead owners of the Detroit Lions were determined to build a stadium so far out in the suburbs they couldn't really call the team the "Detroit" Lions. Pontiac, Michigan at the time was city unto it's own, about the same distance from downtown as San Jose is from San Francisco. At the time, many people thought it was folly to build a stadium out in the middle of nowhere, but they plowed ahead and the 80,000 seat Pontiac Silverdome was built.

Fast forward to 2009 and the 49ers are in the process of either extorting San Francisco into building them a new stadium or they threaten to move to Santa Clara. The Oakland Raiders are also threatening to move to Fremont. They should both note that this week, the famed Silverdome got sold to a Canadian developer for a mere $583,000. That's 1% the cost of building it and about the same price as a two bedroom house in a very bad neighborhood of San Francisco.

The Pontiac Silverdome is best known as the place where Bob Seger recorded his Live Bullet album that brought him national attention for the first time. Interesting facts: 76,000 people attended that Silverdome show, but only a few months before that Bob Seger played my high school gymnasium, and just three days before he played to 50 people at a club in Chicago.

I Was Quoted in Mainstream Press

Did you know I have a regular column at CarnalNation.com? Well, I do, and I think I need to exploit that opportunity more. As a result of my column on Folsom Street Fair on Carnal Nation ("Have We Reached The Edge of Edgy?"), a columnist from SFGate.com contacted me for a quote. (SFGate.com is the online version of the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle newspaper, a Hearst-owned company). I've been quoted in the mainstream press - and I haven't even been indicted! Woo-hoo!

The SFGate columnist writes "The Mommy Files", a slightly hip take on raising kids for modern maternal units. She saw my expose of a booth I visited at Folsom Fair for a new company called "Fetish Tots: Kinky Couture For Little People". Seizing the opportunity to stir up some controversy, she quoted my brief encounter with the folks from Fetish Tots. She sent them an email but got no response, so she letting her readers comment whether the products are a hoax or not.

"But what about the children????!!!!" was the resounding response. Natch. It's a Hearst paper, never shy about going tabloid.

8: The Mormon Proposition

"8: The Mormon Proposition" is a new documentary about the involvement of the Church of Latter Day Saints' involvement in the passage of Proposition 8 in California. It's written, and directed by Reed Cowan, produced by Cowan, Chris Volz, and Steven Greenstreet, executive produced by Bruce Bastian, and narrated by Dustin Lance Black.

This movie is a year too late, but it sounds important. Let's hope that more than a handful of people get to see it.

The Arrogance of Clergy

His name is Pat Condell and he is a very well-spoken Atheist. Well, I assume he is well-spoken compared to other Atheists because you don't actually get to hear Atheists get a chance to speak their mind very often. He put together some really good arguments against religion, the kind of things we all think to ourselves but don't feel free to say out loud in public. I wish there were more access for people like him in the media to counterbalance the bullshit on TV.

Glenn Beck Was a Morning Zoo Douchebag

Radio is the lowest rung of show business and anyone who ever worked as part of a "morning zoo" has got to be the lowest of the low. It all makes sense now how Glenn Beck came out of nowhere to the shock jock of Faux News. Let's hope someone finds old aircheck tapes of him saying embarrassing things those old shows.

Collin O’Neal’s World of Men: Turkey

Back in June I read that multi-award winning producer and porn star Collin O'Neal was leaving the gay porn industry. “I have had a push-and-pull factor that has motivated me to sell my business,” O’Neal said. “The push factor is that my company has grown beyond what my business partner and I can handle. I am also very tired of how the industry is being destroyed by free porn sites and the proliferation of porn sites being thrown up," he said in an article from AVN on June 2, 2009.

But then suddenly this week I got a press release and a screener from a new movie from Collin O'Neal with plans for his next shoot! So are you in or out?

"Collin O'Neal's World of Men: Turkey is their 11th movie and features an international cast of hairy Middle Eastern muscle men with an edge: Jacko, Armando, Sam Orlando, Pascal, Jesus, Jean Franco, and Axel Ryder.

"This was not an easy film to make at all. I had to go across the Turkish border into Syria to get my exclusive Syrian model Jacko. On the second day of the shoot in Gaziantep, Turkey, the Turkish government raided an Al_Qaeda operation house a few blocks away from us causing a mass panic in the city due to machine gun fire and bombs blasting."

Compared to most porn videos shot luxury homes in LA, that's quite an adventure! If you like the sample photos you see here, click the link below to buy the movie from GayDVD.com.
