Halloween 2010 Moves South of Market

Halloween San Francisco

After so much debate and teeth grinding over Halloween in the Castro, someone finally got smart and decided to make a promotional push to move the gay version of Halloween to South of Market. And it won't be a street closure, it will be in the safety of our usual gay bars.

The Sisters were invited to participate this year to lend credibility. We'll be stationed at each of the participating bars selling discount tickets on all drinks (beer, soft drinks, well drinks and top shelf!). Once you buy the wristband, it's good at all the bars. Now that is a great promotion!

Burning Man to Become a Non-Profit?

Burning Man

Burning Man is officially underway. The burners have all left town, so it's safe to talk now.

With the theme of Metropolis this year, it sounds like they are going to be bringing the spirit of BM to the heart of the City, smack dab in my neighborhood! I expected them to make long term investments in Nevada to open a Burning Man retirement village, but it looks like they're sticking closer to home. Hurray for my property values and fuck the family-oriented forces that want to turn SOMA into a suburban model. I am very excited about the edgy art scene bubbling up around 6th Street. Read about the Burning Man organization's plans.

August 31, 2010 - Larry Harvey had a bunch of people over for dinner last night, and he told them that he and the other board members were going to turn the Burning Man LLC into a nonprofit, and that the organization is looking to create an urban center in the 6th Street corridor of San Francisco.

If Burning Man can turn a desert into an oasis, they might help revitalize the mid-Market. “We want to bring our culture there,’’  Harvey said, “without unduly gentrifying the area.”

“We’d like to recreate our hometown,” Harvey said. Noting that the area has beaten all attempts at revitalization, he said, “The city fathers have decided to send in the artists, you know, like ‘Send in the Clowns.’”

The organization is looking to lease a space in the area, with an option to buy. It had been looking to create an educational and cultural center at Fly Ranch, just down the road from the site of the event in the Black Rock Desert. But those negotiations haven’t proceeded well. “We put an offer down and slid it across the table,” board member Will Rogers said,  “and they wrote one down and slid it across the table, but we weren’t speaking the same language.” Rogers did say that those talks are continuing, however.

Justin Bond Command Performance at Castro Theater

{rawcontent rc=62}

The one & only Justin Bond performed to a loving audience of over 1000 on Valentine's Day 2010 at San Francisco's Castro Theatre. "I'll Never Fall In Love Again" was the 2nd Act opener of the Carpenters tribute show "Marc Huestis Presents JUSTIN BOND: CLOSE TO YOU. " The band was under the musical direction of Lance Horne, (also on keyboards) with Ben Prince on 2nd keyboard, Peter Fogel on guitar, Matt Aranoff on bass, David Finch on trombone & strings, Evan Francis on flute, Niel Levonius on trumpet, Matt Swindells on drums, & Julie Garnye on back-up vocals. Sound by Randall Schiller Productions. Videography by Mark Kliem (yours truly!), Jeff Dinnell & Marc Huestis. Edited by Marc Huestis.

And yes, I did the close-up camera on stage right. As you'll notice, my camera was the only one that got the colors right! (His dress is supposed to be pink, not gold.) Though I missed all the activities surrounding Bear Week, going to that show turned out to be like a high school (emphasis on "high") reunion with all my club kid friends from the 1990's.

After the show, the Sisters sainted Justin Bond at the VIP reception, and the first thing Justin wrote on Facebook the next day was "... it was the greatest honor of my life."

I ducked out of the reception early and met friends next door at the Twin Peak bar. Lo and behold an hour later Justin Bond held court right next to us at the bar! It was nice to catch up with him, and we may have a little project in the works when he returns to San Francisco in a few weeks!

Premier Party for Focus/Re-Focus

Focus ReFocus

Focus ReFocusFocus ReFocus

Last night was the premier party for Raging Stallion's "Focus / ReFocus" at Chaps in San Francisco. Just like in Hollywood, everyone loves the hype of movie premiers. It gives fans a chance to meet the stars in person and see an early version of the movie to get the juices flowing enough to go out and buy the movie.

As I reported last week, I've already been sucked into the hype for this movie having received a mysterious package with a teaser disc and cryptic note. I was so busy chatting up the porn stars and my friends at the crowded leather bar, I didn't see much of the film showing on the screens, but from what I did see, there are some very arresting images in it. The sex scenes and the dialogue are not only shot with the usual HD cameras, but there are alternate angles to every shot from hand held cameras, viewfinders, surveillance cameras, and peeping tom views. It's reminiscent of "Sex, Lies and Videotape" or the old "Max Headroom".

Director Tony Dimarco told me a long time ago he was working on a Film Noir style movie and I was expecting a black and white potboiler costume drama with big dicks hanging out of 1940's suits, wide silk ties, fast talking gumshoes and car chases in vintage DeSoto's. It's a modern Film Noir but they did cast a local actor/drag queen, Trauma Flintstone (credited as Joe Wicht), to play a hot headed police detective to grill porn discovery Cole Streets to find out what he knows about a series of murders. I was promised there will be plenty of blood!

"Focus / ReFocus" features the talents of one of the hottest casts ever gathered for a single project. Two new Raging Stallion exclusives play the lead roles—Cole Streets plays Joe Wilder, a sex-obsessed porn addict who drifts thru life in search of cock and David Taylor (current RSS Man of the Year) who plays Eddie, Joe’s hot boyfriend and a man with a dark and dangerous past. Steve Cruz , Bruno Bond, Ricky Sinz, Ryan Raz, Jason Crew, Angelo Marconi, and Tristan Jaxx round out the exclusives selected to appear in this film. Added to these are some of gay porn’s biggest superstars—Adam Killian, Damien Crosse, Francesco D’Macho, Wilfred Knight, Scott Tanner, Connor Habib, and Mitchel Rock. Brogan Reed and Frank Fatone are newcomers making their first appearances.

Focus ReFocus

Focus ReFocus

I had the pleasure of schmoozing with the stars, Cole Streets and David Taylor. Kent Taylor told me how they had to convince Cole Streets to stop shaving his chest, and I am campaigning to have them make the same threats to David Taylor, too. Scott Tanner was interviewing the boys for Tim and Roma Show, while boyfriend Paul Wagner quietly looked on. Tristan Jaxx actually remembered me from the GayVN's and I got to witness his projectile cum shot on screen while the crowd cheered and applauded.

I also got to meet the super hot Allesio Romero who was not in this movie, but made a big impression on me for being on one of my favorite porn movie boxes of the year for Mustang's "Darkroom". And I talked with the adorable Conner Habib about his frequent postings on Facebook.

Do us all a favor, and buy a copy of Raging Stallion's "Focus / ReFocus" just so they will continue to produce big budget blockbusters and hold premier parties like this one!

Cockettes At MOMA

Cockettes

Last night I attended the Cockettes 40th Anniversary screening of their three films, "Palace", "Tricia's Wedding" and "Elevator Girls In Bondage" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. I own a copy of "Elevator Girls In Bondage" but I had never seen either of the others. I was there mostly because it's an important step culturally for the drugged out, crazy drag theater troupe to be honored at a prestigious art venue like MOMA. I also wanted a chance to see hosts Justin Bond and Lady Miss Kier.

Justin Bond Lady Miss Kier

"Palace" gives what I believes is an accurate portrayal of the crazy spirit of the Cockettes, at least from the perspective an an urban legend. Shot in black and white with an unmatched soundtrack added, the film itself is representation of experimental, underground film making of the period. It showed backstage preparation, applying makeup, audience arriving, making costumes, a lot of nudity and drinking, and disjointed clips of the disjointed stage performance. It told no story, made no sense, but it was just fun to watch.

"Tricia's Wedding" was a popular short in the Midnight Movie circuit that poked fun at the real life event of Tricia Nixon's White House wedding. The copy we saw was beautifully restored in vivid color and perfect sound.

Years before Saturday Night Live made their mark lampooning celebrities in the news, "Tricia's Wedding", had drag queens impersonating all the political and cultural icons of the day that were (or were not) in attendance at the White House wedding. A highlight was soon-to-be disco diva Sylvester playing Coretta King singing a spiritual.

Shot in two days with no rehearsal and a vague concept of a script, if a similar version were created today it would get lost in the shuffle on YouTube and forgotten in a matter of weeks. That it survived 40 years to be honored at MOMA is a tribute to it groundbreaking uniqueness and audacity.

During the Q&A with the director, we discovered that "Tricia's Wedding" was actually secretly screened at the Nixon White House to determine if the FBI needed to further investigate the Cockettes for subversive or un-American activity.

"Elevator Girls In Bondage" is the feature length movie starring Rumi (below), the self-appointed archivist of the Cockettes and the driving force behind keeping the name alive. He's been touring the country hosting screenings and perpetuating the name. He was also instrumental in launching the stage revival of "Pearls Over Shanghai" here in San Francisco. I wrote about it months ago, and the production has continued it's open-ended run. With talented cast and actual rehearsals (imagine it!) the brilliance of the work can finally be appreciated. What a perfect way to spend your retirement years. Really.

Got any hog joints?

Pontiac Silverdome Sold For Price of House

Pontiac SilverdomeFor most of the 30 years I've lived in San Francisco, there has been debate and elections concerning building stadiums for sport teams. Prior to that, when I lived in Detroit, there were similar debates about stadiums, too. I'm going to keep a link to this story for future reference because the debate in San Francisco is going to come up again soon.

Back in the 1970's the bonehead owners of the Detroit Lions were determined to build a stadium so far out in the suburbs they couldn't really call the team the "Detroit" Lions. Pontiac, Michigan at the time was city unto it's own, about the same distance from downtown as San Jose is from San Francisco. At the time, many people thought it was folly to build a stadium out in the middle of nowhere, but they plowed ahead and the 80,000 seat Pontiac Silverdome was built.

Fast forward to 2009 and the 49ers are in the process of either extorting San Francisco into building them a new stadium or they threaten to move to Santa Clara. The Oakland Raiders are also threatening to move to Fremont. They should both note that this week, the famed Silverdome got sold to a Canadian developer for a mere $583,000. That's 1% the cost of building it and about the same price as a two bedroom house in a very bad neighborhood of San Francisco.

The Pontiac Silverdome is best known as the place where Bob Seger recorded his Live Bullet album that brought him national attention for the first time. Interesting facts: 76,000 people attended that Silverdome show, but only a few months before that Bob Seger played my high school gymnasium, and just three days before he played to 50 people at a club in Chicago.

Day of the Dead 2009

Day of the Dead

Day of the DeadThe Halloween season is finally over. After four nights of costumes and make-up, last night's Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) wraps it up.

Growing up a WASPy Midwestern boy, I never heard of Dia de los Muertos until about 10 years ago. The Day of the Dead event in San Francisco had a big resurgence around 2005 when it was discovered by young white hipsters, Goth kids, and Burning Man types. Artists and hipsters love the colorful clutter of the alters, but get especially inspired by the imagery of death, skulls, bones and anything macabre. San Francisco is always ready for any excuse to dress up in costume and paint faces, too. Musicians and drum circles get a chance to perform in front of large crowds moving through the streets without regard to format or rules. What a great night to be dead!

One notable presentation that made a return appearance was a giant bicycle powered stagecoach.  After the parade, it was parked on the street and became a puppet theater. In the photo gallery you'll see how the stick figure puppets get projected onto a screen in a very old tradition.

Early in the evening I mentioned to friends, "I bet there will be a Michael Jackson alter," and sure enough, there was.

A couple of the Sisters have taken Day of the Dead to heart as a tribute to our fallen members, making subtle but powerful statement with an alter dedicated to the Nuns of the Above. At one point I sat with Sister Mary Timothy for a while just watching the crowds inspecting our alter and watching their reactions. It's a subtle outreach to the community, but meaningful to many.

On a more terrestrial level, I also enjoy the opportunity to experiment with night photography, but after last night's experience with so much sound and movement, I think I will switch to video as my medium for next year.

My gallery of photos from Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) 2009 is at SisterZsaZsa.com, a FREE site devoted to my creative documentation of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc.

Lavender Lounge Major Site Revamp

PRESS RELEASE: For Immediate Release

Lavender Lounge Studios is pleased to announce a major re-launch of their flagship web site, LavenderLounge.com. Development began more than a year ago and triggers a new direction for the company.

Owner Mark Kliem says, "Following industry trends, I am breaking up this main web site into a series of more niche-specific websites. LavenderLounge.com will be primarily a showcase for my own original photography. I've gotten the most notoriety for shooting candid photos at street fairs, clubs and porn star events, so that will be the focus of this site. The new site will also feature hardcore scenes I've shot with models, and with new technology available, I'll finally have a workable video solution for my members."

{auto}ll-sampler-paparazzi.xml{/auto}

The new LavenderLounge.com was built on a platform of open source content management software customized with plug-ins for video streaming, blogging, and photo slide shows.

Kliem adds, "Members will be able to watch videos full screen with amazing clarity, but my favorite feature is the photo slide shows. When a member clicks on a thumbnail, the picture opens into a lightbox that hovers over the browser and a slide show begins. Users will have full control to either go from thumbnail to thumbnail or sit back and watch the show. Photos automatically adjust to any screen size and each picture dissolves elegantly to the next. It's gorgeous!"

The majority of the content on LavenderLounge.com is exclusive photography and video shot at gay-oriented outdoor festivals, smutty bar and nightclub events, and sexually charged gatherings of gay porn stars. These completely candid, unrehearsed, reality based "Paparazzi Pics" are sub-divided into three categories:

STREETFAIR SKIN: San Francisco hosts several queer outdoor festivals like Folsom Street Fair, Up Your Alley (aka Dore Alley Street Fair), Castro Street Fair, Gay Pride Parade, Pink Saturday, Hairrison Street Fair and Mark Kliem has been documenting them with photos for several years. He has also photographed his travels to Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Russian River, Las Vegas, Florida, etc.

BARHOPPING BARE: Leather bars have some sort of beauty contest almost every night, and if you mix alcohol with horny men, the clothes come off quickly! Lavender Lounge chooses to shoot photos of bar events featuring hairy chests, big dick daddies, tattooed bad boys, real men with facial hair, and muscle bears.

PORN STAR PARTIES: Mark Kliem photographs many promotional events featuring gay porn stars getting loose and slutty. The GayVN Awards, Grabby Awards, Cybersocket Awards, Bad Boys Pool Parties, fundraisers, after parties, trade shows or anywhere porn stars gather to  titillate and entertain.

To satisfy customers looking more more explicit, hardcore porn, Lavender Lounge also offers photo and video sets of ANAL SEX and SOLO STUDS. Besides his own exclusive content, Lavender Lounge also presents sample picture galleries and movies from the best gay porn producers in the business. VIP Members of Lavender Lounge will get access to a premier selection of previews from the top gay porn studios through content provided in their affiliate programs.

Long time members LavenderLounge.com will be relieved to know that the extensive galleries of vintage gay porn is still active in the VIP Room (aka members area). Over the next few months, Lavender Lounge Studios will be launching a new website of strictly vintage gay porn content, allowing paid members access to both sites. "I can't wait to launch my new vintage site! I will finally be able to properly share my vast collection of rare and underground gay porn from the 1970's, including a couple hundred hours of hardcore movies I am transferring from 8mm. These movies were rarely seen when they were new, and a whole new generation of viewers have never seen them," added Kliem.

The re-launch of LavenderLounge.com was made possible with help from William "Jake" Jacobs of Webs Gold (www.WebsGold.com), specializing in Joomla support and services.

Bear Beauty Contest – Miss Grrrrl Pageant

bear beauty pageantbear beauty pageant

If I had a nickel for every time I said, "...only in San Francisco...", well, I'd make about as much money as I earn from this damn blog. Last night's Chaser was worth one of those nickels.

La Monistat is a local gay club promoter working her butt off to bring weird, retarded, sexy fun events to nightlife in San Francisco. Her Tuesday night club is Chaser at the End Up and this week she decided to hold a bear beauty pageant for the title of "Miss Grrrl". Grrrr! She recruited Sister Tuna Noodle Cocktail to help MC, hooked up with a group of DJ's called Electronic Music Bears and promoted the hell out if it on Facebook. I got swept up into the hype, and since the joint is only across the street, I decided to venture over.

bear beauty pageant

I ran into Sister Constance at the front door looking bewildered. Security wouldn't let him in with a bottle of poppers and he didn't want to just dump it, so he didn't know what to do. I offered to go around the corner, stuff it in my boot and come back to be frisked. Worked like a charm, but really, who uses poppers anymore?

At first I was going to describe it as a drunken mess, but really, it was just a mess. Monistat opened the show in a bear suit, Tuna (upper left above) did a number with Jesus. They had to interrupt oral sex backstage in order to get the contestants to come out. Half the contestants didn't show up or sat in the audience, so they didn't know who was in and who was out. When Constance came out for the Beach Wear portion, he asked, "Is this the Evening Wear portion? Oh, it's Beach Wear? Okay", and proceeded to strip naked.

During the short break to "cover the stage in a tarp" for the Talent Portion, Constance pleaded with them to let him go first. For his "talent" he stuck a chocolate bar up a boy's butt and it was starting to melt. By the time he got to is act, it was already too late, the chocolate had disintegrated.

Danyol (left) was excited to make his first drag appearance onstage, but when it came time for his number the DJ yelled from the booth, "Your disc is blank!" He tried to sing something A Capella, but forgot the second verse.

Moving on, another contestant couldn't think of any talent, so he tried popping balloons and when that flopped, he just pulled out his dick. Thanks.

At one point, Tuna had the microphone in one hand, a clipboard and a drink in the other. When Monistat asked, "Who's up next?", Tuna tilted the clipboard to read it and spilled his entire cocktail. The crowd roared.

Visa Decline (below) was the surprise guest performer and did something (not sure what) with a unicorn on a stick. Mmmm. Unicorn on a stick sounds delicious right now...

A big ole girly bear with a 7 day beard (top right) saved the day by singing a well-rehearsed live version of "Sweet Transvestite". She rocked the house belting out that evergreen crowd pleaser. I forgot her name, but she won the coveted title "Miss Grrrl" and went home with a sash and Burger King crown.

THIS is why I spend ridiculous amounts of money to live here.

Kink Might Lose Employee Training Paid By State

Kink.com

California prides itself as the home of the entertainment industry. In reality, costs have driven a lot of production out of the state, but people still look to California to work in music, television and film industries. In a further reality check, most of what comes out of the real Hollywood is exploitative crap in the T&A or teen slasher genre, or, dare I say it... hardcore porn.

The "quality" product you see around Oscar time puts a lot of money into the hands of very few people, but the vast numbers of regular people working in the entertainment business get paid about the same as every other industry. They also pay taxes to help keep the business of state government running.

However, due to some research done by a local journalist, one of San Francisco's largest film production companies may lose funding for employee training simply because of the content they produce. It's back to the days of Jesse Helms and the NEA hearings! Read on.

Kink.comWhipped and Gagged

Is government spending obscene? Well, it paid to train S&M filmmakers.

By Matt Smith

published: April 22, 2009

Talk about an economic stimulus. California taxpayers have paid $46,791 so that employees of the San Francisco pornographer Kink.com might produce more perfect web-based depictions of motorized dildo impalements on FuckingMachines.com; do a better job displaying women as they're bound, gagged, and repeatedly electrically shocked on www.wiredpussy.com; and more effectively transmit images of, well, people doing pretty much what you'd imagine they'd be doing on www.whippedass.com.

That's right: California's government has been subsidizing torture-based pornography. The subsidy has been routed through the California Employment Training Panel (ETP), an agency set up to make state businesses more competitive with foreign and out-of-state ones by paying contractors who train in-state workers. Kink.com, famous to San Franciscans as the pornographer that not long ago bought the massive former Armory building in the Mission District, received its training through the Bay Area Video Coalition, a Mission nonprofit that provides classes in video and multimedia technology.

Kink.com is "legally recognized by California," says Video Coalition executive director Ken Ikeda. "They employ 100 Bay Area residents, and they also pay into payroll taxes. They're a valued community neighbor of ours. In training their employees, we're in complete alignment with the ETP's vision of keeping employees competitive in the international marketplace."

Sadly, this story doesn't have a happy ending, at least from a porn industry perspective.

After I submitted a state public records request to find out how much money Californians had been paying to train workers of Cybernet Entertainment LLC — Kink.com's formally registered business name — I received a letter from ETP general counsel Maureen Reilly, who said the government had been unaware that Cybernet was in the business of narrowcasting videos depicting sexualized torture.

"By long-standing policy, ETP does not fund training in the adult entertainment industry," she wrote, suggesting that the Bay Area Video Coalition might have done more to make the government aware that Cybernet was in the porn business. "Since learning about Kink.com through your Public Records Act request, ETP has informed BAVC that it will no longer reimburse the cost of training the employees of Cybernet."

Yerba Buena Center Opening – Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

With 1,500 people in attendance, it was the biggest art opening in the history of the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. "Under A Full Moon - 30 Years of the Sisters Of Perpetual Indulgence" is the title of an exhibition currently running for the next three months.

The exhibits features Sisters as artists and objects of art. An hour and half long slideshow of my photos is on display in the exhibit.

The opening night was one of the highlights of my life, an emotional and touching culmination of my work with the Sisters since I started in 1991. The video above shows only a tidbit of the event, I hoping to discover more videos soon.

Under A Full Moon
30 Years of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. have been employing satire and high drama to shed light on serious issues since 1979. From a humble beginning in the Castro, America's first order of 21st century nuns formed to improve the socio-cultural, spiritual, educational, and artistic experiences of the communities in which members live, work, and have creative interactions. Each individual Sister is artist and subject, priestess and counselor, nurturer and provocateur in the human quest for a joyful life.

We are blessed to be able to share our vast archives with the public as part of Ritual and Redemption. From the Rosary In A Time Of Nuclear Peril to the exorcism of Pope John Paul II to the taking of our vows and painting of our white face, Sisters have been creating rituals, blessings, art, literature, and general debauchery designed to promulgate universal joy and expiate stigmatic guilt for the past 30 years.

The Sisters' 30th Anniversary: AfterBirth!
Every year after Easter, the Sisters and our guests take the party out of the park and into the Castro. This year, we've decided to make it a little more official and are setting up a stage and bringing entertainment to Noe and Market, in between Cafe Flore and The Lookout. Keep the party going with us at Afterbirth and then head on out into the Castro for more fun!

Summary of GayVN Nominated Movies 2009

To The Last ManI just finished casting my votes for the GayVN Awards for 2009! Whew! What a job that was! As always, I had to go through a marathon of viewing movies at the last minute. Thank goodness I've been watching them throughout the year so I was a somewhat prepared.

As an over-all observation of the gay porn industry, I am once again impressed by the quality of films made this year. Though it gets tedious sometimes, every once in a while, I get blown away by a set design, a lighting technique, a special effect, or a breath taking location. Rarely do I see a sex position I've never seen before, but when I do, it may either challenge me or not, but I always welcome innovation. Each year the cameras and the computers get better, and the guys running them get more proficient.

I am going to give you a quick rundown of some of the movies I just watched over the last few days while they are still fresh in my mind.

To The Last Man by Raging Stallion will probably make an enormous sweep of the awards this year. It's the biggest epic undertaking of the year, and though not perfect, it deserves acclaim just for taking such big chances.

Titan's Funhouse picks up the carney /circus theme they've done once a year for the past few years incorporating real gymnasts and circus performers in their contortion-like sex positions. Francois Sagat appears in both Funhouse and Breakers as an oddball character that keeps showing up at odd times. Breakers is another coming-out-of-retirement project by Bruce Cam who has had more retirement parties than Cher. If you liked Bruce Cam's earlier outdoor epics, you'll like this one, too. It's got the same campfire scene in every one.

The Best Sex Comedy category was pretty sparse this year, but that one is always tough. Jet Set Men 's Jock Tease had a genuinely funny montage at the end, but the dialogue throughout the rest of the movie was just butch sounding jock posturing. Not so funny for guys that intimidated by that shit. Straight boy Aaron James seemed to enjoy his role as the sluttiest jock willing to fuck anyone anyhow, while the other gay actors tried to act like they weren't. Irony, darling, irony.

To The Last ManSex Hiker from upstart company Black Scorpion was big surprise. They appear intent on out-classing their competitors to put out a super premium product. Starting with hiring a South American runway model, D.O. (pronounced Dee-oh), and mr. Pam, they spent a shit load of money not only on production, but the packaging to mimic a fashion magazine shoot.

Foreign films are always a treat because they often incorporate exotic locales. Both AMG Brasil's Rio and Lucas Kazan's Italians and Other Strangers impressed me with the b-roll footage of gorgeous scenery and showed some genuine effort in the production. Lucas Kazan can always be counted on to provide a beautiful tableau that is out of this world.

As another diversion, I got to see a lot of twink movies, and Brent Corrigan seems to have that category wrapped up - but how the hell is he going to transition to bear movies when he turns 30?

This year for the first time, the GayVN Awards have several categories honoring websites. Randy Blue has such a stable of incredible models, but has never put out any DVDs. It would be interesting to see how a feature-length Randy Blue movie on DVD would stack up against other movie studios. Hmm.

And finally, in the fetish / leather / kink categories, Hot House has really learned to mix beauty with pain to consistently put out outstanding products that are challenging and creative. But for raw, niche-specific, know-your-audience fetish material, I was impressed by Lucas Entertainment's Piss! I usually get quite queasy watching piss scenes, but this simple, straight forward look at the fetish was somehow engaging even to me. The piss scenes outdoors and in bath tubs I could understand, but when they were peeing indoors on the floor and leather furniture, I kept thinking about how to get rid of that smell! (I guess Michael Lucas is rich enough to just throw away furniture and move out!)

That's my summary of the best gay porn movies from 2008, and though I didn't give you all heaps of praise in this one blog entry, perhaps it will all pay off when you pick up your trophies! Congratulations everyone, and keep up the good work!

Pictures From IBR Bear Bingo – International Bear Rendezvous

International Bear RendezvousIBR bears muscle bears

On Friday the 13th, The Sisters hosted Bear Bingo as part of International Bear Rendezvous (IBR) in San Francisco. Bear Bingo is traditionally voted as the best event of IBR every year because it's such wacky fun - with gambling. Well, the gambling alone is a natural draw, but the bears' real motivation to come to San Francisco is to get laid, so they show up randy. Bingo usually digresses to some form of moderate nudity and implied sex, but it's all just for fun.

I shot over 200 pictures at Bear Bingo and divided them into two sections. Photos featuring The Sisters are available for FREE at SisterZsaZsa.com if you like drag nuns (and clown fucking). If you like to see manly, hairy, beefy men, I put my bear oriented photos in the Lavender Lounge VIP Room under the section Paparazzi Pics.

Dear Santa – Please Add These To My List

Dear Santa,

I know I have a very, very long list of things (boys) I want for Christmas, but please, PLEASE add these two more items to my list! I've been a good boy. They are just so cute and cuddly, I really want one of each to prop up on my bed with all my stuffed animals. I know these naked men come all the way from the UK, but San Francisco is on your way as you fly around the world on Christmas Eve. Can you remember to tuck them in your bag just leave England? Should I have Rocco, Lourdas, and little David remind you?

Santa, do you have a heater in your sleigh? If Deano and Vladi have to travel naked, I promise to keep them warm when they get here, too.

I will be sure to leave you extra milk and cookies, Santa!

Your friend,

Marky

P.S. Thanks to UK Naked Men, too!
